Privacy Policy – Victoria Tennis Group(VTG) is committed to protecting the privacy of all personal information that it gathers in the course of running the tennis club as defined by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, (PIPEDA). We collect only the essential information needed to perform the functions required by VTG. VTG has taken steps to ensure the information is stored in a safe, secure location with access only granted to the VTG Organizers who require the information to perform their responsibilities.

VTG collects information such as your e-mail, address, name, tennis level, locale, and telephone number to provide the club services. VTG will not disclose any information about individual users. All information provided by tennis members is strictly confidential. VTG will not sell or distribute any information obtained or provided by a client to a third party for marketing or other purposes.

Use of your Personal Information

• VTG does not sell, rent, or lease its members lists to third parties. VTG does not collect, use, or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race,

religion, or political affiliations.

• Any data collected may be used to help in improving the website's user-facing features.

• Only members' names and email addresses are shared with Courtside Sports to obtain discounts from the store. Courtside Sports has agreed to not share any of the information with any other organization and maintain it in a secure environment.

• Membership Directory which includes names, email, phone numbers, and locale within Greater Victoria,  is available to all members to allow contact with each other for arranging tennis games and connecting with other players. Any information on the directory can be removed if requested.

• Courtside Sports will add the VTG members to their VIP program and some advertising content will be received but members can unsubscribe if needed.

• No data is used or transferred by VTG to serve ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.

• Access to the data is given only for the following purposes:

  • Persons or entities directly involved in the completion of the service request.

  • Persons involved in security activities such as investigating or addressing a bug.

Changes to this Statement

VTG will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect club and members' feedback. VTG encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
